Huawei Chairman Liang Hua (Howard Liang) has revealed that the company’s annual revenue for 2024 exceeded $118 billion (860 billion yuan), reflecting a 22% year-over-year increase. The announcement was made during an event in Guangzhou, where Liang highlighted Huawei’s key achievements over the past year.
Speaking at the Province High-Quality Development Forum, Liang acknowledged that 2024 was a challenging year for Huawei. However, the company successfully navigated obstacles and emerged stronger.
For comparison, Huawei’s 2023 revenue stood at 704.2 billion yuan, marking its fastest growth at the time. The latest surge in revenue is largely attributed to the success of Huawei’s innovative product lineup introduced last year.
Liang emphasized that the company’s financial performance aligns with expectations, citing stability in the ICT sector, strong demand for Huawei smartphones, and continued growth in the smart automotive solutions business as key drivers of success.
Liang Hua said:
“In 2024, Huawei’s overall operations met expectations, ICT infrastructure remained stable, consumer business returned to growth, and the smart car solutions business developed rapidly, with annual sales revenue exceeding 860 billion yuan.”
In Q1 2024, Huawei obtained revenue of 417.5 billion yuan for its impressive devices and innovative Qiankun solutions. It was a hike of 34.3% with a net profit of 13.2%.
Huawei’s Chairman noted that the constant support of global customers as well as partners in all sectors helped the company to attain new heights of success.
Liang pointed out that despite external challenges and ‘uncertainties’, the firm is moving toward the trend of digitalization, intelligence, and low carbonization.
The company is now preparing to unveil dynamic products this year. Richard Yu – the Chairman of Huawei Consumer Business revealed that a new ‘masterpiece’ product is coming with amazing features. Perhaps, the tech maker is ready to raise its annual sales revenue bar in 2025.
