Reports suggest that Huawei is developing EMUI 15 for its older devices.
In a slow-paced global smartphone market, Huawei is gradually advancing its new EMUI development, offering a glimmer of hope for EMUI 15.
A reader from Russia shared a conversation with Huawei’s online customer service, where the representative stated, “At the moment, the manufacturer is optimizing EMUI 15 for previously released devices.
Unfortunately, no exact dates have been provided.” Although this statement was translated from Russian and its authenticity cannot be verified, predicting Huawei’s next move for global users remains challenging as the company is primarily focusing on HarmonyOS in China.

Among the latest releases, the Huawei Mate X6 and Mate 70 Pro are the first to come with EMUI 15 pre-installed. Both flagship devices are powered by the new Kirin chipset, and the accompanying software optimizations aim to enhance user experience.
While the Mate 70 may have limited availability, the Mate X6 is expected to reach a broader audience.
Similar to recent iterations of EMUI, EMUI 15 is anticipated to build on the foundation of the latest HarmonyOS. The update is set to introduce native design improvements, including personalized theme wallpapers that dynamically match on-screen content.
Additionally, the refined source code promises smoother animations and the introduction of new 3D interactive themes for an engaging experience.
EMUI 15 will also expand its suite of smart features, offering enhanced multi-screen collaboration, cross-device sharing, and more, all designed to improve both performance and power efficiency.
However, these features remain part of the reported EMUI 15 development, and an official statement or rollout from Huawei is needed to confirm them.
