Sales of HarmonyOS-powered smart cars reached 34,987 units in January 2025.
HarmonyOS Intelligent Driving achieved a significant milestone in January 2025, with smart car sales reaching 34,987 units. The announcement was made on the company’s official Weibo page, highlighting its continued success in the automotive sector. Additionally, Huawei provided insights into the top-performing SUV models in the Chinese market.
Following a strong revenue performance in its smart automotive solutions business last year, Huawei appears to be maintaining its momentum in 2025. For the ninth consecutive month, HarmonyOS-powered vehicles ranked first in the average price category.
Among the top-selling models, the AITO M9 series led the rankings with 12,483 deliveries in January, followed by the Luxeed R7, which secured 11,420 units, particularly gaining traction for its extended-range version. Meanwhile, the STELATO S9, despite delivering only 643 units, emerged as the top-selling luxury sedan in the 400,000-yuan price segment.
A key factor driving these sales is Huawei’s advanced smart car technologies, including its cutting-edge ADS system and other high-end features integrated into its premium SUVs.
Looking ahead, the Chinese tech giant is actively developing new solutions for the future of smart cars, including the innovative XHUD-AR, which brings dynamic new capabilities. More details can be found below.
